Chair of Trustees, Connect Counselling Services (part-time, unremunerated)

Connect Counselling Service (Connect) is a charity that was founded in Camberley almost 30 years ago and offers general counselling services for adults over 18. We are an organisation rooted in the Christian faith serving the community irrespective of their faith and beliefs, and we offer professional counselling to anyone irrespective of gender, sexual orientation, religion or ethnic origin.

Connect has an excellent reputation in the counselling community, and has highly committed staff, supervisors, counsellors, trainees, trustees and volunteers.

The charity is looking to recruit a new chair of trustees to lead the organisation as it enters its fourth decade serving the needs of the community of Surrey Heath and its neighbours. The new chair will take the helm at the AGM on November 5th, but the option of a ‘soft start’ is possible ahead of that time. The role of chair is to guide the entire board, and we are looking for an experienced leader to work with the CEO and trustees to build on the significant change that has started, and to further develop and implement a vision and strategy to achieve Connect’s purpose.

It is a truly exciting time to lead, support and inspire this charity, as it celebrates 30 outstanding years of delivery, and enters a new chapter.

The deadline for applications is July 15th 2024.
